Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between Double-Tap Development Ltd (“Tiempo”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Scotland with number SC635454 and its registered office at 17 Gatehead Drive, Bishopton, PA7 5QQ, Scotland, and the business that creates a Tiempo account (“you”). They cover the Tiempo API, the dashboard and the documentation (together, the “Service”).

Tiempo is for businesses. By creating an account you confirm that you’re acting for a business, not as a consumer, and that you have authority to agree to these terms for it. Our Data Processing Addendum and the prices on our pricing page form part of these terms.

1. Words we use

  • Platform: your Tiempo account, with its team, API keys and settings.
  • Businesses: the accounts you create in Tiempo for the businesses that use your platform.
  • End users: the staff and customers of those businesses, and anyone else whose information you send to Tiempo.
  • Your data: everything you or your end users send to the Service: resources, schedules, bookings, attendees, metadata and so on.

2. Your account and keys

Give us accurate details when you sign up and keep them up to date. You decide who joins your team and what role they have, and you’re responsible for what they do in the Service.

Your API keys act for your platform. Keep them secret, give each service the narrowest key that works, and revoke a key as soon as you think it has leaked. You’re responsible for everything done with your keys and your team’s logins until you’ve revoked or removed them. Tell us at info@doubletapdevelopment.com if you think your platform has been accessed without your permission.

3. Test mode and live mode

Test mode is free and is for building and testing. It has the limits shown on our pricing page, and test bookings and test events are deleted automatically 30 days after they end or happen. Don’t run a business on it.

Live mode is for real bookings. To use it you add a card, unless we’ve agreed other terms with you in writing.

4. Using Tiempo properly

You must:

  • use the Service lawfully, and only for scheduling and the things around it;
  • have a lawful basis, and give the notices the law requires, for the personal information you send us about your end users;
  • stay within the rate limits and other limits we publish or tell you about.

You must not:

  • try to get around our security, rate limits or limits on test mode, or access anyone else’s platform or data;
  • load test, scan or probe the Service without our written agreement;
  • put payment card numbers, passwords or other secrets in free-text fields such as metadata, or put special category data (such as health information) there unless you need to and have a lawful basis for it;
  • use the Service to send unlawful, harmful or unsolicited content, or to infringe anyone’s rights;
  • resell or offer the Service to others as a standalone scheduling API (building it into your own product is what it’s for);
  • copy, decompile or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.

5. Fees and payment

Live mode is charged as our pricing page describes when the usage happens: by bookings, on pay as you go or a monthly subscription you choose in the dashboard. We charge each month in arrears, to the card you added, and send an invoice. Prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT, which we add where the law requires.

If a payment fails, your platform moves to pay as you go from the next month. If an amount stays unpaid 30 days after we’ve asked you to pay it, we may suspend your platform until it’s paid.

We may change our prices. We’ll tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to you, and it will start at the beginning of a month. Different prices agreed with you in writing take priority over the pricing page.

6. Changes to the API

Breaking changes to the API ship as dated versions. Your platform stays on the version it started with until you choose to move, and each version’s changes are listed in the changelog. Adding endpoints, fields, event types or values isn’t a breaking change, so build your integration to ignore what it doesn’t recognise.

We may change, replace or remove features. If a change would materially reduce what the Service does for you, or if we stop supporting a version, we’ll give you reasonable notice first, unless we must act sooner for security or legal reasons.

7. Your data

Your data stays yours. You give us permission to host, copy, process and transmit it as needed to provide and secure the Service, to send it to the webhook endpoints you set up, and as our Data Processing Addendum describes. When we process personal information in your data, we do it as your processor under that addendum.

We may use counts and other aggregated information about how the Service is used, which doesn’t identify you, your businesses or your end users, to run, bill for and improve it. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

8. Our service and software

We own the Service and everything in it apart from your data. While these terms apply, you may use the Service for your platform under them. Our SDKs and other code we publish under an open-source licence, such as the MIT licence, are covered by that licence instead.

9. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service available, secure and correct, and we provide it with reasonable care and skill. We don’t promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and there’s no service level agreement unless we’ve signed one with you. We may need to take it down briefly for maintenance. Support is by email at info@doubletapdevelopment.com.

10. Suspension

We may suspend your platform, in whole or in part, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if your use puts the Service, other customers or anyone’s data at risk, if an amount stays unpaid as section 5 describes, or if the law requires it. While it’s suspended your API keys are refused with the reason we gave. Unless it’s urgent we’ll warn you first, and we’ll lift the suspension once the problem is resolved.

11. How the agreement ends

These terms apply from when you create your account until it’s closed. You can close your platform at any time by asking us at info@doubletapdevelopment.com. We may end the agreement with 30 days’ notice, or straight away if you materially break these terms and don’t put it right within 14 days of us asking, or if you become insolvent.

When it ends, your access stops and any fees already due must be paid. You can read your data through the API until then. We then delete your data as our Data Processing Addendum describes, apart from the billing records we must keep by law. Sections 7, 12, 13, 14 and 16 carry on after the agreement ends.

12. Confidentiality

Each of us will keep the other’s non-public information confidential, use it only for this agreement, and share it only with people who need it for that and are bound to keep it confidential, unless the law requires otherwise. Your API keys and your data are confidential information.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow to be limited or excluded.

Subject to that:

  • apart from what these terms say, the Service is provided as it is, and we exclude every other warranty, condition and term, whether implied by law or otherwise, as far as the law allows;
  • neither of us is liable to the other for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss;
  • our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms, in any 12 months, is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim and £100.

These limits don’t apply to what you owe us in fees, or to your obligations under section 14.

14. Claims about your data or use

You’ll compensate us for losses and reasonable costs we incur from a claim by a third party (including your businesses and end users, and regulators) arising from your data, from your platform’s use of the Service, or from your breach of section 4 or of data protection law. We’ll tell you promptly about such a claim and let you take part in handling it.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a change that matters, we’ll email your platform’s owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don’t agree to it you can close your platform before then; using the Service after it takes effect means you accept it. The date at the top shows when these terms last changed.

16. General

  • These terms, the Data Processing Addendum, the pricing page and anything else we’ve agreed in writing with you are the whole agreement between us about the Service. Neither of us is relying on anything else said or written.
  • Neither of us is responsible for a delay or failure caused by something outside our reasonable control.
  • You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent. We may transfer it to a company that takes over the Service, and we’ll tell you if we do.
  • Notices to us go to info@doubletapdevelopment.com; notices to you go to your platform’s owners’ email addresses.
  • If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right straight away doesn’t mean giving it up.
  • No one else has any right to enforce these terms.
  • These terms, and any dispute about them, are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of Scotland have exclusive jurisdiction.
